TfL Engineering selects SkillsID

TfL Engineering have chosen NSAR’s online SkillsID system to capture and manage the skills and capabilities of their workforce.  SkillsID’s speed and intuitive user interface encourages employee usage and its reporting engine enables managers and senior executives to have immediate access and visual representation of the skills and competency profile of the workforce, identifying skills gaps and training needs. The system will also help managers with talent management, succession planning and resourcing decisions.

Mark Holmes, Head of Membership and Development at NSAR says “NSAR are delighted that an industry leader such as Transport for London sees the value that SkillsID brings to their business. Working with TfL on this project has been a fantastic example of collaboration between supplier and customer to get the right outcome and we very much look forward to working together on further system developments”.

John Batchelor, Principal for Engineering Capability at TfL says “TfL Engineering has rolled out a skills and competency capture programme across our 1400 engineers. We are using the SkillsID as our platform of choice owing to the simplicity and intuitive user interface and the number of facilities that are available to us to help deliver our capability management vision.

We have started our capability and talent management journey and are planning an exciting future as we improve our understanding of and use the data within SkillsID to support individual engineers, profession teams and business development”.
