We are excited to announce that applications will open shortly for our new digital apprenticeship scheme, in partnership with GBRX. Young people will have the opportunity to grow their skills within the rail industry, whilst employers will benefit from the enhancement of their digital capabilities from hiring these apprentices. Keep an eye out for more information soon on how to apply, and I encourage you to support this ground-breaking initiative by sharing with your respective networks.
Our competency management platform, SkillsID, continues to grow to suit the needs of the industry, all in one place. QR code scanning, announcements and events functions are just some of the features that have either recently been introduced, or will be active soon. This system is designed to help manage your staff skills set, training and authority to work so that you don’t have to. It has since grown into a larger interface to support employers with a wide range of issues, and I highly recommend you get in contact with us to find out more about how SkillsID could assist your company.
We have been developing a new offering for our members as part of our Policy and Engagement services called the Employment, Skills and Social Value Showcase. This is a service designed to turn your company’s successes into tangible evidence and communications. We hope to help you highlight your workforce and social value data through high-impact communication materials to use for reporting, stakeholder engagement, PR and more. You can find out more about this exciting new service and how it can help you here.
Last but not least, the Railway Study Network Annual Dinner will be returning to the Oval in London this October. A highly popular event, this year’s keynote speech will be given by Anit Chandarana, Group Director & System Operator at Network Rail. Anit will be joined by a range of speakers from across the industry throughout the night, including some younger members of the sector who will share their own experiences. This evening is an excellent opportunity for networking and learning, and I look forward to seeing some of you there. You can book tables and spaces here.
