#TransportHeroes Toolkit

#TransportHeroes is an opportunity for the industry and the public to come together to highlight the great work happening across the transport industry and to say thank you to the #TransportHeroes keeping the UK moving during the coronavirus outbreak. DfT will work in partnership with the industry as well as other stakeholders from across the country to coordinate regular social media activity to raise awareness of #TransportHeroes

Get Involved…

@transportgovuk will be sharing content every Monday (starting from 6 April) on Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram to shine a spotlight on transport workers, highlighting the great work they have been doing and to share our thanks. Wewould appreciate any support by amplifying the content on your own channels and to get involved by using the hashtag #TransportHeroes and branded assets. You can tag us in your posts by using our handle @transportgovuk on Twitter and Instagram.To help you get started and spark some ideas, we’ve highlighted a few content examples below:

Content ideas…

• Pictures–share a collection of images that have been sent to you by staff
• Quote cards–share supportive quotes from your employees
• Vox pops–get people to share short video clips to bring to life the work they are doing
• Twitter polls–use polls to create engaging ways to bring facts and stats to life What #TransportHeroes looks like…

We’ve developed a #TransportHeroes badge and supporting social media templates–all we ask is that your content features this branding and the hashtag#TransportHeroes in any copy. We will amplify a mixture of content across our channels, so please get in touch beforehand if you are keen for us to support an interesting story.
