Last Friday NSAR hosted its Annual General Meeting at the TFL Offices in Stratford, London. Chaired by Mike Brown (TFL Commissioner and Chair of NSAR ) NSAR Members participated in the election of board directors and more.
The event was followed by our annual Skills Symposium with our special guest speaker – Brian McBride (Chairman of Trainline PLC, previously Chairman of ASOS and Managing Director of Amazon) who delivered a presentation entitled “Evolve or Die”. Brian talked about the need for rail leaders to prepare for a future that embraces all things digital.
In addition, Guy Wilmshurst-Smith (Network Rail Head of Professional Development & Training) spoke about leadership and the future of training, whilst City & Guilds Managing Director of Technical Training Martin Hottass (City & Guilds Managing Director of Technical Training) shared his perspective on the future of training and the impact of digital.
