August Insights from NSAR Chief Executive

NSAR and GBRX recently announced a ground-breaking partnership to launch a new apprenticeship programme focusing on data science and artificial intelligence, two of the most consequential technologies being used in the rail sector today. It is my pleasure to have had the opportunity to join Toufic Machnouk, Director of GBRX, in announcing this programme at our recent TIES Living Lab event.

This collaboration is designed to embed crucial technical skills directly into the rail industry, and thereby support employers who are looking to expand their uses of AI, advance data and digital technologies more generally. As the prevalence of these technologies increases, organisations that lack the resources and competency to harness these capabilities will struggle.

Through this apprenticeship scheme, interested organisations will benefit from both GBRX’s strategic innovation community and NSAR’s capabilities in supporting collaborative apprenticeships. The apprentices, who will also be a part of GBRX’s data and artificial intelligence team, will have the opportunity to rotate and apply their skills around the participating organisations.
Please get in touch with us if you are interested in this scheme and what it could do for you.

The rail industry is facing unprecedented change in the future, with the adoption of digital technologies, a retiring workforce and a disconnect between government and organisations just some of the challenges.

NSAR has been developing a wide range of solutions and services to meet these challenges and ensure our continued support for the industry as it seeks to tackle these. One of these solutions will be to provide training for leadership in the uses of digital technologies. Make sure to keep an eye out
