The United Kingdom Sectors Centres of Excellence (UKSCE) is a brand new initiative which aims to bridge the gap between technical & vocational education & training in China. The UKSCE aims to enrich the international community and enhance the Chinese workforce through the setup of international schools and training centres.
This new enterprise is the result of a collaboration between The Nationals Skills Academy for Rail (NSAR), UK Skills Federation and the Chinese Government. It is supported by the Department of International Trade (DIT) and will include multiple industries such as rail, construction, sport, social care, IT, health, financial services and much more.
The UKSCE seeks to establish 50 – 80 demonstration centres, called CDM’s. These CDM’s will house the latest technological facilities ensuring a strong foundation to support supply and demand for skills. The UKSCE will setup in various regions within China. Each will have the ability to train 1000 students annually.
