DfT Supply Chain Skills Network awarded Government Commercial Function (GCF) Social Value Award

Congratulations to DfT Supply Chain Skills Network who have been awarded Government Commercial Function (GCF) Social Value Award. The GCF Awards recognises the best commercial projects from across Government and out of 77 nominations reviewed by a senior panel of judges led by Government Chief Commercial Officer Gareth Rhys Williams, the DfT Supply Chain Skills Network was able to succeed.

Chair of the DfT The Supply Chain Skills Network and Corporate Procurement Director at HS2 Ltd Richard Mould said:

“The Supply Chain Skills Network chaired by myself which comprises TfL, Network Rail, Highways England, Crossrail, Heathrow, DfT Rail Passenger Services, DfTc and HS2 together have helped pave the way for our supply chain to create in excess of 11,250 apprenticeship opportunities as a direct result of public procurement. Working collaboratively, we have learnt from each other and helped our supply chain develop to deliver measurable solutions to the skills gap and create Social Value.”
