NSAR secures ESFA grant to support apprenticeship intermediary service

It’s an absolute pleasure to announce that NSAR has won a grant to work with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to help Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and intermediaries deliver apprenticeship support to smaller businesses across England.

The grant is a continuation of the ESFA’s long-standing initiative to provide high-quality apprenticeships in businesses across England, with previous work including national events, toolkits, social media campaigns etc.  NSAR’s work will be an extension of this and will deliver a centralised support service which will work through intermediaries and LEPs to support localised delivery of apprenticeships. Priorities will be the on-boarding of smaller non-levy employers onto the Apprenticeship Service from January 2020 as well as encouraging best practice on apprenticeship delivery.

England’s 38 LEPs, along with other intermediary organisations including Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of Small Businesses, CBI, trade bodies/associations and professional bodies are key to this initiative because they’re the source of information for lots of smaller businesses.  The recent apprenticeship reforms have brought about a lot of change so it’s vital that employers are fully aware of the changes and have access to the most up to date information in a format that is easy to understand

NSAR is excited to work with the ESFA on such an important project and was chosen for the organisation’s understanding of apprenticeships, national reach across England and knowledge of LEPs, intermediaries and smaller businesses.

Throughout the delivery of the work, NSAR will work closely with the business intermediaries and the ESFA. This project is a significant opportunity for NSAR as it continues to develop its apprenticeship consultancy service across the UK.

“It’s great that NSAR’s experience of helping businesses navigate apprenticeships is going to benefit a much wider audience. Well done to ESFA for recognising the value of this support.”
Neil Robertson
NSAR Chief Executive Officer
