Apprenticeship starts show scant year-on-year rise despite DfE claims

Figures published by the Department for Education on show 25,700 starts in July compared to 25,200 in the same month in 2018. However, provisional starts for the full 2018/19 year are 21% down on 2016/17. To see the full statistics click here.
