The new Ofsted Regime is different

Apprenticeship and adult learning provider Woodspeen Training had a full inspection last week after Ofsted began using the new framework as of this month. Woodspeen Training Managing Director John Deaville stated
“I thought this was going to be an incremental change, but it felt like a pretty significant shift in focus and emphasis on the inspection process.”

Ofsted’s focus has shifted from outcomes to the “quality of
education” and what is being called the three I’s: intent, implementation,
and impact.

Don’t forget NSAR offers Ofsted and Quality Improvement Guidance to support training providers by helping them to understand:

  • What is a monitoring visit?
  • How will providers be judged?
  • What are the consequences of poor judgement?
  • What is involved in a full inspection?
