“Get into Railways” Training Programme generates £1.6million of social benefit

Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) and the Prince’s Trust’s “Get into Railways” training campaign has generated £1.6million of social benefit to UK society over the last five years.

The programme has assisted 182 young people aged between 18-25 with 164 completing the course and securing permanent roles in GTR Networks including Thameslink, Great Northern, Southern, and Gatwick Express.

Don’t forget that Skillslive.co is also a great platform for young people to pursue careers in rail. The video-based platform brings a variety of job roles within rail to life and aims to be instrumental in inspiring the next generation of diverse rail employees. Rail employers including TfL, Network Rail, Bombardier, East Midlands Trains and Colas Rail are already on board.
