Skills Live will go live online and through the Jobcentre plus network on 29th July 2019! The new platform aims to encourage more young people to consider careers in rail.
The brand new platform uses video to bring to life a variety of job roles within rail. The user can learn more about the skills of a role by watching a series of short videos that are linked to a job specification. Users who work their way through the video content will be directed to a career opportunity with an employer.
The video based platform has been funded by UFI Trust and has been developed in partnership with Dept for Work & Pensions and rail employers, such as TfL, Network Rail, Bombardier, East Midlands Trains and Colas Rail who understand alternative ways are needed to recruit new talent and increase diversity.
Skills Live will enable employers to connect to a large pool of talent who may not have considered careers in rail. It will be instrumental in inspiring the next generation of employees whilst encouraging diversity in rail.
