Last week NSAR attended the launch event for STAT’s Year of Diversity which is was held in Westminster, with Jesse Norman MP, Minister of State for Transport, and Tracey Worth of the Institute of Couriers.
Sponsored by O’Donovan Waste Disposal, the event set out plans on how to improve diversity and inclusion across the freight and logistics sector and encourage employers across the sector to drive change within their own organisation. O’Donovan Waste Disposal Managing Director, Jacqueline O’Donovan has been appointed Vice Chair of the STAT Diversity and Inclusion group and continues to work tirelessly to improve diversity across the industry.
Employers were encouraged to sign a pledge to improve diversity across the sector within their own organisations. Other speakers at the event included Mark Lomas (Head of Equality of HS2), Kate Lester FIoC (Managing Director of Diamond Logistics and Alistair Cochrane FIoC (Chief Development Director of Whistl).
