Diversity is better for people, better for business and better for rail.

Govia Thameslink Railway has launched the UK’s biggest rail recruitment campaign to attract more women and young people to consider a rewarding career in rail.  The campaign aims to:

  • Encourage more women to apply for trainee driver roles, working towards 40% female trainee train drivers by 2021.
  • Offer 140 apprenticeships across a wide range of roles, from engineering and driving, to digital marketing and customer service.
  • Help over 40 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into full-time employment through the ‘Get Into Railways’ Scheme in partnership with The Prince’s Trust.

NSAR supports gender diversity as it is better for people, better for business and is better for rail. We will be joining the Women in Rail Big Diversity Challenge taking place 27 June 2019 at Newark Showground.  For more information click here.
