Addressing the skills shortage by opening doors to new talent

Promotion and attraction is essential in tackling the skills shortage and the lack of diversity in rail. However, many potential candidates are simply not aware of the range of job opportunities available in rail. Employers must now consider different methods to: raise awareness of career prospects, discover new talent and increase diversity within the industry.

Skills Live works to address this by: 

  • Enabling employers to showcase a range of job roles in rail
  • Supporting employers by promoting greater diversity in the workplace.

Using swipe technology similar to popular dating apps, Skills Live
filters job roles based on the users likes/dislikes and then presents suitable roles back to the user.  

The user continues to learn more about these roles by watching a series of skills videos linked to the job specification, leading them to a short assessment set by the employer. Suitable candidates will then be presented to the employer for review.
