NSAR attended the first UKRRIN Annual Conference on Tuesday at Kings Place in London. The event gave delegates the chance to find out more about UKKRIN’s mission to create powerful collaboration between academia and industry, encourage innovation in the sector, as well as accelerate new technologies and products from research into market applications globally. Shadow Secretary of State for Transport Andy McDonald opened the event as keynote speaker.
NSAR’s Chief Executive Neil Robertson and Strategic Director Shamit Gaiger participated in a debate entitled “Does rail have a future: will we still be travelling by train in the UK in 2070?” The event also provided updates on the work plan for the UKRRIN’s 4 Centres of Excellence.
